The Byworlder
Copyright 1971 by
Poul Anderson
I first read this in 1971 and most recently on the 15th June 2006
An alien spacecraft is orbiting Earth. It contains a solitary alien, the Sigman.
The Sigman seems willing to try to communicate, but attempts at meaningful
communication have so far been failures.
On Earth meantime, young hippy Skip Wayburn has an idea about how to get
through to the alien. Together with beautiful scientist Yvonne Cantor,
he may be able to solve this mysterious communication puzzle.
Not one of Anderson's greatest books, and certainly not one of my favourites.
Loaded on the 29th March 2007.
